I feel like I never have time to sit down and post about the things going on. This is going to be another long post.
Starting with the weekend before memorial weekend! Our 6 yr wedding anniversary was on Sunday the 17th. I can hardly believe it's been 6 years. We decided to go to Bandon for the weekend. We rented a cute lil cottage that was on the river, and a short distance to the beach. It was the cutest thing. It was definitely kid friendly, with a childrens play area, lots of toys, and a tricycle track that went all the way around the cottage with 3 trikes. Kenden and Tate especially loved the tea set and the chalkboard. While we were there we went to the petting zoo. It's just outside Bandon, and it's supposed to be the largest petting zoo in America. They have all sort of goats, Llama's, dear, and peacocks running around that you can touch and feed. Then, they have the wild animals in cages like the Tigers, lions, and bears (oh my) Pumas, chimps, Leopards lynx, etc. We got to pet a Lynx (that was awesome), an elk, turtle, wallaby, and we were able to hold a possum, skunks, and some ferrets. The boys had so much fun. Kenden was trying to hug every animal he could get his arms around. The Llama's didn't like that so much. Tate got followed around by a little pygmy goat that tried eating his shirt. They really loved the Wallabies and enjoyed feeding a Mama and Joey.
After our trip to the game park, we got some lunch, then went down on the beach for some playing in the sand. It was beautiful in Bandon, but of course windy on the beach we found some huge rocks and sat down in the middle of them, to block the wind. Kenden and Tate ended up wrestling and Tate got sand shoved in his eyes and mouth. poor kid, he was trying to rub the sand out of his eyes with his hands that were covered in sand.
When we were finished at the beach we went and walked around old town Bandon for a lil bit and told the boys they could pick out one thing. Of course they wanted these lil tiny, I mean teeny glass figurines. Kendens is a duck, and Tates is a clown fish. After walking around we headed back to the cottage I started not feeling very well and we wanted to try and get the boys to nap. Eric went fishing on the river while Kenden, Tate, and i napped. We decided to make dinner that night, so after Eric went fishing he went and got the groceries we needed. And snuck back to old town and bought this necklace and bracelet I had been eyeing earlier that day. We had decided to not get anything for each other for our anniversary just go for the weekend, he always breaks the rules.
The next day we headed back. We had to get back to Eugene in time for Erics lil sisters Sweet 16 birthday party. It was a sweets theme so they had all kinds of yummy sweets and chocolate covered strawberries. YUM! My husbands step mom had a bunch of people talk about macaela or tell a memory about her. Eric and I included in those people. Well Kenden wanted that microphone and was up there grabbing for it any chance he got. He gave a lil speech, and sang quite of few songs, ABC's, twinkle twinkle, and Country boy, being a couple of them. It was pretty cute, and it turns out it was the cutest version of ABC's people had ever heard.
Pictures won't upload right now. I'll have them up soon!
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND-
We didn't do much Memorial day weekend we headed down to Klamath Falls to see our families. Eric ended up helping his mom and step dad, tear up their old deck and build a new one. He did that for 2 days, he says he worked harder doing that then he works actually at work. So I didn't get to see my family as much as I would have liked, but it was a good weekend anyway.
Cranberry Juice got spilled in my purse so my camera is broken, so I have no pictures from this trip.
LAST WEEKEND-
Nothing to exciting to post about. We all got burnt. Kenden and Tate not so much, cause I put sunscreen on them, but Eric is fried like a lobster. The tops of my shoulders just got really red. We took the boat on the river, for about 5 hours. It was really relaxing. We cruised up and down til we found a lil island we liked then stopped. Eric went fishing and the boys and I played in the sand and the water. We island hopped a few times, whenever Eric got tired of not catching anything on one island. Again no pictures!
